Description
The Covered Bridges are a set of three bridges and four towers in the Little France district. These bricks towers were built between 1230 and 1250. The bridges were once capped by a wooden roof. Despite the disappearance of this cover in the 18th century, they are still called “covered bridges”. The Grande Ile (Large Island) is an island that lies at the historic centre of the city of Strasbourg in France. The Grande Ile was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988.
